Osage Gallery is one of Hong Kong's most respected. With locations on Hong Kong Island and Kwun Tong they provide a generous breadth of experience. The space in Kwun Tong, located in a revitalised industrial area, alternates between Art Foundation, not for profit exhibitions, and installations of spectacular commercial artists. The dramatic space is unique to Hong Kong that is used to precious little space. This enourmous warehouse style gallery has 14 foot tall ceilings and one wall that stretches 128 uninterrupted feet. A Glow Glow Macro Interactive Media Arts Exhibition takes it to the streets. Movie superstar Andy Lau opened the exhibit. Hong Kong LED artist, Teddy Lo premiered PHAEODARIA and United Visual Artists from the U.K. launched their awarding winning VOLUME for the first time in Asia. Thousands turned out to watch this amazing multimedia art spectacle of sound, light and motion on the Avenue of Stars. A lesbian play in Hong Kong? Yes! Hong Kong's newest theater company, is presenting the famous drama by Frank Marcus: ‘The Killing of Sister George’. The www.SO-U.TV's team meet up with the cast and they gave us a little preview. The play will be shown at the Hong Kong Fringe Club from February 27th to March 1st, 2008. Tickets are available from the Fringe Club or HK Ticketing.
The G.O.D. boys Douglas Young and Ben Lau did it again. They turned Hong Kong upside down with the most outrageous party of the year.
Bringing together a high energy group of hip hop ballers, fashionistas, the ultra chic underground, and of course, all the pretty boyz. Half naked models all around and if you felt like getting your own kit off a game of strip poker was wide open. 24 Herbs, the edgy cantonese hip hop band kept the crowd crazed while FINDS restaurant made sure endless cocktails flowed down the throats of the super fabs. www.SO-U.TV's team was at Clockenflap 2008, Hong Kong’s most unique one-day multimedia, arts and music festival held January 12 at Cyberport. Over 1200 art and live-music lovers flocked to the unlikely but well-found outdoor space to enjoy the 12 hours of rock and electro event. All the factors of a great festival were there: great outdoor concert atmosphere, great music and great crowd.
